Experience the Unknown, Reveal the Mystery

Do you accept the reality if Christianity was actually taken from or adopted from the Pagan belief? Isn't ironic that modern Christians condemn people practicing paganism if the true origin of Christianity was Paganism? This posting has no intention to offend any belief system but trying to gather views and comments from individuals.

christianity if i am not mistaken, has its roots on Judaism, as well as Kabbalism. There are other religious systems that came to be developed over time and eventually became christianism. i am from a catholic lot but i do practice other "older" forms of "christianity" if it can be called that way.

It doesn't matter where Christianity has been taken or adopted from, the only thing that matters is, by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour...

No offense, but I would say it really matters where Christianity was adopted or taken from. Because at present, the so called "christians" (that would include me as baptized by the Christian tradition) now are condemning the paganism practice and the worst labelling them as those belong to the forces of darkness. The Christians particularly the Church must reveal everything the secrets of the past to create an atmosphere of clarity among believers, yes the impact of reactions could hurt the dogma teachings of the church, but I believe we have that maturity in our inner self to accept the TRUTH and I don't believe that could destroy our FAITH.

Q:Can you hear/read what you are saying? Christmas and Easter came from pagan roots… Then yes it is Pagan..its like asking if the teachings are from the devil are these evil?

A:I'll ask you: do you think we celebrate some sun god when we celebrate Christmas and Easter? It also shows your lack of faith: Jesus is Lord of history, and Lord our days. Now, since He is Lord of our days, then do you think God would allow a celebration for His Son to be pagan? of course not. Note that these days were made from pagan to Christian to show us something: that Christ, Lord of history, has triumphed over paganism. In that we merely take back what is His all along, since God is the God of all. So the glory of God is only given back to what is His--that is, the days and years are all His. Now, can you still say they are pagan?

Q:Yeah the main figure of these is Jesus, I agree but where did you get the whole idea of the celebrations from PAGANS and when you offer it to God it doesn’t mean its sacred/accepted. Is it ok to steal because I’m going to offer it to God anyway
THE ONLY BASIS OF OUR FAITH IS THE BIBLE THAT IS IF YOU ARE CHRISTIAN.

A:Like I said, we only took back from the pagans what is God's all along. Now, you tell us, does God own the days and years? If so, who then stole it? Did not pagans steal those days from Him? So what does the Church do? It gives back those days to who rightfully celebrate it--and that is Christ the Lord.

^ Dagdag ko lang po. Hindi po ako ang nagsabi nyan, quinote ko lang po kasi related siya sa nakapost. Wala pa po akong stand about Paganism being the root of my faith dahil sa totoo lang, kailan ko lang din yun nalaman, and I need to gather more info pa.
